Inhhalt des Workshops
Anhand von Mary Shelleys „Frankenstein“ wird das Motiv des vom Menschen geschaffenen Monsters visuell und sozial seziert, um zu neuen Visualisierungsideen mithilfe von technischen und künstlerischen Lösungen zu gelangen. Dabei werden insbesondere genderspezifische Darstellungen, Vermenschlichung technikbasierter Entwicklungen sowie utopische und dystopische Zukunftsprojektionen behandelt.

Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an die Studierenden der AdBK Nürnberg, der TH Nürnberg und der HfM Nürnberg. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf fach- und hochschulübergreifendem Austausch und Zusammenarbeit. Die Termine bauen aufeinander auf, können aber auch einzeln wahrgenommen werden. Der Workshop wird aufgrund der Covid-19-Pandemie virtuell über Zoom und mit einer Materialsammlung über Dropbox stattfinden.

Content of the workshop
Using the example of Mary Shelley’s novel 1816 „Frankenstein“, the workshop sets out to visually and socially dissect the motif of the human-created monster in order to find new ideas for visualization through technical and artistic solutions. The workshop will discuss different questions concerning gender-specific representations, the humanization of tech-based developments, utopian and distopian projections of the future. 

The workshop is designed for students of AdBK Nürnberg, TH Nürnberg and HfM Nürnberg and aims to establish interdisciplinary communication and collaboration. The topics discussed on the course dates build on each other, but you can also participate on single dates. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic the workshop will take place in virtual Zoom-meetings, course material will be collected on Dropbox.
